'Born Again' is the second album Chris Farlowe made with legendary producer Mike Vernon (John Mayall, Chicken Shack and Fleetwood Mac amongst others). It was originally released on Mike's own label Brand New Records in 1986 to critical acclaim. Musicians featured include Ian Gibbons from the Kinks on keyboards, Dave Bronze on bass, Phil Palmer, guitar - Martin Winning, saxophones, Pete Wingfield, keys - Mo Witham guitars and Charlie Morgan on drums. Bonus tracks are Peter Green's 'Man of the World' recorded in the same sessions but not used because Mike decided he didn't want to use it having produced the Fleetwood Mac original. 'We Can Work it Out' features the band that recorded the 'Live at the Marquee' album with Chris in 1975, including Albert Lee. It was released as a single only, not appearing on any album at the time. Due to a re-release at the same time of 'Out of Time' the single sank without trace.
Chris Farlowe is without doubts one of the most charismatic British Blues- and Soulshouter. Exemplary his work with Jon Hisemans 'Collosseum' is outstanding, as well as his singing on Jimmy Page's (Led Zeppelin) first Solo-album 'Outrider', highly acclaimd by fans as well as by critics.
